Dominican Yankee baseball player Robinson Cano wins the Home Run derby 2011!


The 28 year-old old from San Pedro De Macoris born Robinson José Canó Mercedes is quickly becoming one of the top players in the league, and this just proves that the slugger is at his peak.

The second baseman for the New York Yankees won the contest with a new record of 12 home-runs in the final round, with 4 outs still remaining.

Robinson (who was named Robinson by his father after the great Jackie Robinson)

enjoyed the company of his father Jose Canó on the field as pitcher, who also played major league baseball.

He was drafter by the Yankees to their camp after graduating high school.  Robinson Cano been in the majors since 2005.
