This site is composed of everything I love, this is my youth, my past, my present and I am holding on tight to all of these memories so they can be part of my future.
Growing up at times I would always ask myself about certain things, and try to remember parts of my youth at times coming up empty handed on the results, this is my effort to make it easier for you. I’m not going to lie and pretend like I am also not trying to make this site profitable, I’m Dominican and have a need to win at everything I do, you all should know better, but with all sincerity I can tell you that this is a labor of love, from the time I get up to the time I go to sleep this is what I do, this is my “let’s go to a club” night, this is my “I want to learn Karate” days, This is my “Football” time.
I ask of you all, if you enjoy the culture as much as I do, if you feel an inherent need to know where Dominicans come from and who we are, to spread the word to your friends about this site. I’ll go a bit further and ask of you to contribute, with any original pictures / posters / music / videos that relate to our culture that you feel people need to see. By being selfish in my need to know my own people and learn about myself, I become giving in sharing whatever I find with you. Manuel is the founder and webmaster of ThatsDominican.com (est. 2011), born in 1980 in Puerto Rico Bayamon and raised in the Dominican Republicby his Dominican parents until the age of 11. He graduated college with a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering. He did hip-hop music from 2004-2007 releasing 4 CD’s and having the music appearing in various CD’s as well as major released movies. He currently works in the medical field and travels the U.S. for business, as well as spreading the Dominican culture and finding new unique Items from the culture to share with the world!
