Dominican Republic Charity – Charities

The Dominican Dream Project

The Dominican Dream Project

A friend of mine recently suggested we collected some money for Dominican Republic Charity in the ThatsDominican.Com party we recently had in New Jersey. I did not even consider researching Charities before this event, but now that I did, I feel like you should also know about some of them.

Dominican Republic Charities We Support:

THE DREAM PROJECT
Dominican Republic Education and Mentoring

DominicanDream.Org

The Honorary chairman for this is non-other than Dominican Pulitzer prize winner Junot Diaz, this was the Dominican Republic Charity we went with due to the validity of the people involved.  The project focuses on Education for the children of the Dominican Republic.  We are not affiliated with them, or any other charities we list here, we are not endorsed, or supported in any way by any of these.

Now I would love to sit here and tell you that we gathered enough money to brag about, but we did not, the thing to take from it is that any giving is good giving, and we are hopeful that as this site grows we will be able to support this Dominican Republic Charity and other legit foundations in the future. One thing we can do however, is offer this space as a bit of awareness for those looking for legitimate places to Donate and help out the Dominican Republic.

PUJOLS FAMILY FOUNDATION

Pujols Family Foundation

Pujols Family Foundation

The Pujols Family Foundation was Established in 2005 by Dominican Baseball Player Albert Pujols.  The foundation came about when he got into a relationship with a woman (now his wife) who had a child with down syndrome.  By learning and interacting with the child, he saw that in the position he was in he was able to help other children int he same situation.

In his own words the Dominican Republic charity “exists to honor God and strengthen families through our works, deeds and examples.  We have sought to help those living with Down syndrome here at home and to improve the lives of the impoverished in the Dominican Republic. Along the way, God has blessed us richly, and for those of you who have been a part of that journey we offer our gratitude.”

One thing YOU can do is if you are in the right financial space, donate If you are not in that financial space where you can donate, you also have the means to spread the word about the foundation, and it does not have to be directing your friends to this page, pick your favorite charity and tweet it, facebook “like” it, something as simple as that might move someone you know to help out.

Sit tight, we will come back with more Dominican Republic Charity info as soon as we research more and are able to bring you correct and educated information.
