Romeo Santos saca su primer disco como solista Titulado Formula Vol. 1 En Noviembre 8!

After the success of his first single “you“ and the video for it, Romeo release the follow up to the single, a duo with R&B star Usher Raymondpenned by Grammy winner Rico Love entitled “Promise” (Video below) with great success. It is only right that the talks about what the first album is going to be like. Recently Romeo spoke with Santo Dominingo times where he went into details about his new contract and what we can expect from his upcoming album Formula Vol. 1 as a solo singer.
He says that while he would like to experiment on the R&B side, the first CD will be roughly 65 % of the same music he was putting out with Aventura. Being the songwriter and lead vocals it is really not a strech for him to remain doing the music he loves to do.
¿Seguirás con la bachata o experimentarás con otros géneros?
RS: A mí siempre me ha llamado la atención el mundo del R & B y me gustaría experimentar un poquito con ese género, también con pop o balada. En esta producción lo que pretendo es arriesgarme un poco, pero sin dejar atrás lo que me ha dado resultado. Musicalmente, el disco tendrá un 65 por ciento de lo que la gente conoce de mí.
Romeo Santos La noticia de que firmaste un contrato millonario con Sony Music y Jive Records para grabar cinco producciones como solista ha causado gran revuelo, ¿Cómo se logró ese contrato tan importante?
RS: En realidad son tres producciones con opción a grabar dos más. Yo nunca tuve la inquietud de hacer un proyecto como solista, esto se inició cuando mis compañeros mostraron interés por hacer sus proyectos en solitario y brindarle al público su talento individual. Sí tenía propuestas de ciertas disqueras, pero Sony y Jive siempre estuvieron ahí presentes, interesados en trabajar conmigo. Cuando vi que mis compañeros se iban a lanzar, tomé en consideración su oferta. Para mí es un orgullo ser el primer latino o uno de los pocos latinos en firmar un contrato tan grande.
